Restoration for private clients
SiO₂ Glass does not work exclusively for museums, churches and institutions.
Private clients are also welcome for the restoration and conservation of stained glass and historic glass.
This may concern a single window, a transom, a door panel or an individual object.
Types of work
Private commissions vary widely in nature and scope.
This may include the restoration of stained glass in a private residence.
The bonding and conservation treatment of broken glass objects, such as vases, bowls or small sculptures, is also possible.
In addition, advice can be given on preservation, stability and maintenance.
Approach
Each commission begins with an assessment of the object.
Based on this assessment, appropriate and responsible interventions are discussed.
Not every situation requires full restoration.
In consultation, a suitable approach is sought, with the preservation of original material as a guiding principle.
Consideration and consultation
The nature and extent of the work determine the required interventions.
No standard solutions or fixed packages are applied.
Prior to execution, consultation always takes place regarding possibilities and choices.
Contact
If there is uncertainty about the condition of an object or window, consultation is always possible.
Even when it is not yet clear whether restoration is necessary, an assessment can help in making a considered decision.
